So as many designers have in the past, we decided as a company to regularily release designer wall papers. Now as a creative guy I love the ones we just recently released:

I think they are awsome, but I had an interesting comment that made me think twice. Now we are after some pretty high caliber clients at our studio and I got a comment (from our PR girl) that the wall papers look targeted towards a younger demographic like it's for kids or something.

Now I'm starting to second guess it. Is it because I'm a designer so I only see the artist qualities? Is it really too kiddish to post on our site?

Any recommedations, comments and opinions would be appreciated. Thanks alot.

i don't think they look too childish.. they're quite simplistic but not in a bad way... i like 'em! :D
the whole site is cool... i'm going to have to sit on there for a while tonight and take it all in! :)

Maybe she meant younger demographic as in teenaged-techy sort of younger, not gradeschool-child sort of younger?

I like them too.

They do appeal to a Gen Y demographic, I guess. But I'm a 28 year-old techie geek designer, so I love em.

I have dome some myself a few years ago. I'll have to include them in my new portfolio site, and bump the resolution up for newer high-res displays. Here's some screen shots:

I like the site design as well. Why is it a "beta" site and is there a reason the URL is a .org?

I'm surprised to see the firm took the time to create tutorials for designers. Seems like you'd be helping possible competition. Or do you see it as a way of creating networking and community?
