Not keen on the bevelled edges. I'm not conviced it will look good on a business card edge.
Why is your email on the back? I think it should be on the same side as your other contact details.
Your list of services can go on the same side as the logo instead.

Thanks Budafist, I think I might print some test cards to see what the bevel will turn out like before getting them printed professionally. Thank for pointing that out. The email is on the front because when I make myself a webpage the front will have company name, website and email. Very minimal to get the customers attention and the main contact info they will need. The back will have the rest of the contact info and services.
If i'm going on the wrong idea about this please let me know :)
Thank you again for your suggestions.

i think if you are only going to put one piece of info (besides the co. name) on the front of the card it should be your name or your website. i don't see that you have a web site listed. it's going to be a hard sell if you don't have one yourself. i'd explore putting the "hole" on both sides as seeing through the card.

Sorry... this rates a big 'meh' for me.
Look, what are you trying to say with your design choices to your potential client? That you know how to make bevels and glass lens effects? Because that's what I read as the primary visual message, and that would put me right off. Show me evidence that you can think beyond the computer menu, and in a way that will give me confidence in your ability to sell something other than Star Trek screensavers (unless there's a huge demand for such in MyTown VIC).
Your type choices and their positions are treated almost as incidentals. Bad choice for designer promotionals. Put away the computer, and start sketching out something else. Get honest, get real. If you're just starting, don't hide behind glossy effects-- just show good work ethic and enthusiasm. Even humourously acknowledge this! Most clients will appreciate youthful, honest, enthusiasm much more than a computer fireworks festival. It shows you care enough to not b-s them about your actual limited experience, in exchange, you hope they will trust you to give it your best.
(sigh. Maybe I am gettin' too old for this.)

Nope, you're not, and I don't think you think you are either! :p
I agree with broacher
Your design merly communicates you know how to "make things look pretty"(and I use that sentence very loosly) rather then promblem solve.
By the way… custom graphic design?- what
oh… and business cards are graphic design.
On the front the banding needs to go. The only reason banding was every introduced in the first place was to act as a functional device as a means for printers to easily swap out information, So if your not looking for an easy way to swab information loose it. Regardless, in this day and age with the computer there is no need to use bands for this becasue swapping out info is easily accomplished with a few clicks.
So loose the horizontal banding.

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, with the graphic design course I done, they taught us how to use photoshop and not how to become a good designer. I like the design, but there have been some very good and true issues raised that I never thought about. Perhaps its something I need to reconsider.

your contact info font selection is quite boring and should be addressed to show a little bit of typographic know-how.
did you create that green image? If not, imagine how you would look if a potential client got another card with the same image - you'd both look unoriginal and more than likely, lose the opportunity.
I would move your email to the back and put what you do on the front. If I only looked at the front of your card I would have no clue what your business is. Digital Reality only implies something computer-related. "design studio" "graphic design" "designer extrodinaire" - without some serious brand reconition, people will need to know what you do before they need to know how to contact you.
definitely lose the bevels
do up a few completely different looks and post 'em.

One more thing, Morticus. I applaud your courage to post and ask for feedback, as well as the gracious, courteous and open-minded manner in which you responded to our crits and suggestions. You're a student? This kind of attitude towards criticism has already made you leap ahead of most of your peer pack. Good luck!
