So I'm fairly new to Illustrator, I have version CS2 installed on my work PC and I was reading about Live Trace so I thought I would try it out on an image or two...

I couldn't work out how to find it so I googled and followed what appeared to be a simple tutorial... Created a new Document, Placed my jpg into the document, selected it and then went to find Live Trace... but I can't find it...

It says it should be in my control palette but not as far as I can see. Am I doing something wrong?

Being relatively new to Illustrator it's hard to know where to start to troubleshoot my problem!

Hope someone can help, thanks in advance!

It's in: Object>Live Trace

See... maybe my version of CS2 is broken or something because I have no option for that in my 'Object' menu... hmm. I've had problems with the install recently, wonder if the whole thing has been installed incorrectly by the ICT team

In which case either my version of Creative Suite is reporting itself as CS2 when it's not or something's gone missing. This is what I see:

It's certainly not there - how annoying! That's a techie problem and I can't suggest anything except a re-install. Haven't seen that happen before.
