It's raining mad here too...off and on..but its been doing that ALL summer. I don't get too paniced about this hurricase stuff unless it starts to look really serious really fast. We have only had to evacuate once my 11 years here in Savannah thanks goodness. Hopefully instead of picking up strength, it will soon start to die down. You never know - hurricanes are totally unpredictable!

watched a tornado wreck 1/4 of my town when i was 9. that was fun. not enough snow in the winter anymore - just cruddy weather...not enough differences between the seasons.

In South Georgia we have the hot season, and the very hot season (LOL). Heat index one day last week was 110 degrees (combinationof temp and humidity = heat index temperature). My a/c runs from 1pm till about midnight non stop.

yeah, i'm with you man. shoveling sucks. snow's not too bad... it gets old though. i like snowboarding and snowball fights (still), but beyond that it's a pain.

rubber soles in the winter...i had an old pair of army boots - really thick soles, but the treads worn right off - i could go 'skiing' down my street, snow, ice or wet cement...they just froze up!

I love snow, but we don't get very much. Every few years we'll get enough to actually do something in it. Otherwise we just get an inch here and there, and it melts within a few days. Of course we can always go to the resorts around here and ski or innertube.

Yeah, it actually didn't affect us in South Florida AT ALL. Thanks, though Silece. Glad it missed you guys. The folks in Punta Gorda weren't so lucky. Charley was one of the most well-formed storms of all time. My dad had to go up there to help asses the damage for the State. He'll be there for a week.

Yea my sister was on Vacation over there. I received a letter in a bottle today from here. It seems like she's on some deserted Island some where out in the Atlantic. The whole hotel must have gotten ripped right out the grown. I couldn't make out what she was saying cause Tom Hanks wanted to hog up all the space, what a looser. Talking about it was not a movie but a consiracy and a setup, yea right!
