Hi. I hope someone can help. I have a G5 iMac 1.6ghz. It has been running Photshop 7 perfectly until yesterday. Now when I try to open it it launches the Script Editor and doesn't do anything. I've tried my old copy of Photoshop 3 and it does the same thing now too.
Has anone got any ideas about what's wrong and how to fix it?
Many thanks in advance if you do.

Well, if you're running with a G5 iMac, my guess is you're on OS X. Try repairing permissions through Disk Utility.
If that doesn't help, reinstall Photoshop 7.

Do you have Classic on this machine?
If yes, which side is Photoshop 7 loaded on? If you aren't careful on loading the software it can end up on the Classic side and it sounds like you have a glitch there. If you are using Classic, try starting it from the control panel first, not by double-clicking the program or an image file.
If not, PS3 won't run and there is another reason PS7 quit.
The other thing may be a preference corruption. Try trashing prefs, restarting the computer and restarting Photoshop. If then doing the permissions repair doesn't fix it, you might consider reinstalling Photoshop but be sure to deinstall everything first. Preferences, the usual culprit for startup errors, are not erased when reinstalling.
