I'm using Quark Xpress 6.5. I've done some art work in Photoshop and I want to bring it into Quark. I've got the artwork on a transparent background but when I bring it into Quark, it makes the transparency white.
How can I get the transparency to carry over? I've heard something about turning the image into a path but I can't find any info on how to do it.
Thanks

one you have to turn transparency on in ps
ie give it a alpha channel
in quark highlight picture and go to modify go to clipping and choose alpha channel

Quark 6.5 doesn't support transparency. It will flatten the image when you import it into Quark.
Do as Panzer said, that'll work.

you defn can use transparency in quark 6.5. You need to save your PS image as a tiff, pdf, or EPS with ALL the transparency options checks in your saving dialogs. You really dont need an alpha channel unless its complicated.
In quark go to clipping and you can choose either alpha channel, white space, or transparencies. Play with the thresholds and noise sliders to get it how you like.

My bad. It's been so long since I used Quark on a regular basis anymore. :o
