I'm going to make a page for an A6 folder, containing information on how to use a mobile phone during the Ekstremsportveko (Extreme sport weekend) festival. The customer wanted it to be illustrative. This is my first attempt.

The illustrations are fairly simple, maybe too simple? And the mobile phone does not really match the other icons in style. To "test" how the concept works, I would like to ask you if you understand what you can do with a mobile phone during this weekend or don't have a clue after seeing this.

The background pic isn't working like that. Get rid of it or figure a way to display it more clearly.

There isn't enough info for me to figure out what I'm supposed to do with this card. Also, it refers to a website a lot - this should be big on the page if you want people to go to the website - not in fine print as the final thing on the page.

At the moment this is very rigid - like a corporate flowchart. Funk it up a bit more colour, funkier fonts perhaps?

I look at that and do not see that I can do all of those things FROM my mobile - as you have a pic of mobile phone in the top one, the others (without reading the text) look like I can send mail, take videos etc.

Another wee thing to mention is the direction of the arrows. I may be on my own here, but I consider downloading things would have an arrow towards the phone, but sending SMS and doing quizzes to me would indicate a direction away from the phone? Perhaps you could use this direction idea to give a better understanding of the fact that your phone is the main tool, therefore at the centre of everything?

I think you just need to show more clearly that it is your phone that does all this...

Thank you for tips. I'll let it rumble around a bit in my head, and see if I can get something better out of it.
