Have a great time Urst!
when I first saw the title I thought this might have to do with Fuente Cigars, which I am a fan of. Either way, looks like a fun place!

Well, I'm back, and yes, it was a great time. Very hippy-fest, awesome scenery.
The ride into the canyon was pretty incredible all by itself. We crossed the border at Tecate, and then ended up driving down this really winding mountain road for about an hour. After that, it was about an hour of washboard driving, and then the last stretch was over a dry lake bed, lots of fairly large rocks for a car to negotiate. Fortunately, the guy driving had a Ford truck, and he also grew up driving in that kind of terrain, so he handled it really well. There were a few scary spots, but he took them on like a pro.
The canyon camp ground area is gorgeous. The area our group was camping in was completely shaded, not dark, but it was nice to have as a refuge from the sun, because the area is primarily desert. And nearby was an enclosure with a tub, where a hose was connected that was filtering in hot springs water. We'd drain it in the morning and refill it up so it was good to go for the evening. Delightful.
Probably one of the better camping trips I've been on, and since the event was focused around a lot of people who go to Burning Man, there was a lot of really great music to dance to, as well as lots of things like poi and fire twirling and all kinds of stuff. I also got to meet some really cool people, and we'll be keeping in touch. So woohoo!
All in all, a really great trip.
I don't have any pictures, I'd bought two digital cameras online (one for me and one for my husband), but they didn't arrive in time, so we took a couple of disposables with us for the trip. As soon as I get those developed, I'll post some pics if there are any good ones.

I still believe strongly in film, thus I still hang on to my semi auto...
