kind of a rush job, wondering if it reads well at all?
The company mainly deals with leadership training through tactics and military type training (can you see the C as any sort of military symbol?), among other subsidiaries dealing with photography, programming, just lots of crap that can be contracted, a hodgepodge if you will.

What does the symbol mean? Just for my own curiosity.

It's for ambush (squad level), there are usually more lines inside of the main arc as each line usually represents a soldier, but there's only 3 main honcho's in the company so it got shortened ;)

I don't know anything about military symbols - I didn't recognise anything there. Not even a moustache comb - I don't know anyone that would use one either.

uh, looks like half of the deathstar? I dunno.

The 3 horizontal lines extending through the logo are messin up the flow. Work on those, maybe you could make a variation in their lengths. Other than that, nice, simple design, if they aint paying much, they aint getting much right?

Why not try tinting the symbol behind the text, and emphasise the C part. Or even an abstract version of the symbol, like the arrow part of it.

a successful logo doesn't have to appeal to everybody, just to the targeted audience. i have a brother in the military and feel like i'd recognize a fair amount of military symbols, and this one doesn't register to me at all. maybe try asking around in the crowd who your client will be marketing to. that will tell you if it's working or not. if it's marketed toward the general public then i'd say it's not going to work.
