Another flyer but i need help with the timeless anthems logo
its for a funky house rave, for the same promoter as the last flyer i posted up. please give your crit. and thanks to all that posted a comment on my last design much appreciated...

I noticed that you used the same splash from istock in the last flyer you posted. Be warned that this style is getting worn out quickly, and by using the same elements repeatedly you are not "creating your own style" but wearing out another style.
Having said that, I don't care too much for the "timeless" font, and the bottom text is quite unreadable. I think the use of color in this image, is excellent, and even the vector shadow is kinda cool.
Sorry if that sounded harsh, I didn't intend it to be.

the client has always requested a trilogy of design for his flyers. so this is the second installment. he professes that it looks good in his portflio of promotions. hence the reusing of the elements. the same with the flyer dont be shy.. all the flyers come in the same style three times that way. no other promoter will try and copy his style of flyer as that style has been associated with his raves
I'm with designerscott...not a fan of the typography, but I do really like your collage imagery and the shadow. Very eye-catching, and not just because of the subject :)

The image is great, but I agree with the others, the typography is pretty weak. The timeless font reminds me of a church font for some reason

I like the colours you've got there. I agree with the comments on the typography made above too. The only things that occur to me right now are that her back is looking rather like she has some kind of rare skin complaint and I'm a little unsure about the direction that the little purple guitar is pointing (It looks like it's about to poke her in the ass).

On a side note - it's a fairly strong design. I'm not digging the bold quality that the "anthems" in black is drawing. Agreed about some of the typography - particularly on the bottom left corner.

After seeing the OP's funkylove flyer using the googled image of Angelina Jolie and then the "Whore and her pets" using the Andersen Consulting tiger rabbit image, I'm more than a little dissapointed to say the least.

I was going to say: The illustration is stunning! The typography is horrible. Redo the type with more suitable fonts and full justify the text on the right hand side and you should be fine.

Heh heh, blacc has never been back since Frank busted him on the "original" painting of Angelina Jolie. It blows me away that people still try and get away with stuff like this in this age. Somebody is bound to catch you, especially if you use images that come up on page one of a google search LOL.
