Ironically, I am playing through Final Fantasy VII again since you can pretty much run most PS1 games on the PSP (thank you hackers).

Haven't played any new ones, though. Not enough time these days, and the whole series seemed to begin jumping the shark right around Final Fantasy X-2.

actually, x-2 was pretty good, playing wise. the class changes and abilities were cool (they were controlled by what your charcters were wearing). the only thing is that is was designed and marketed for girls, so a lot of guys didn't like it.

I've got FFXII for the PS deuce, but haven't had a chance to touch it. Got as far as the Golmore jungle and beat Tiamat, took a wrong turn, got in a brawl with some hellhounds who killed me in two seconds, said "What the ****?" and haven't touched it since.
