Hello People,

new to the forum, and I've got a problem for you to solve.

Quark on my mac at work has taken it upon itself not to print anything if the registration is selected to centre or off-centre, it'll only print through the printer without the registration marks. There are no error messages or anything, but in the printer dialog that pops up when its starts printing, if I go to the completed jobs tab, where it would usually say that the job had been finished, its now blank.

Can anyone shed any light on what might be happening, I've gone through the usual stuff, turned off the opi, re-installed the ppd's etc, now I'm just stuck, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

What's the Printer it is going to?
And which version of Quark?
Also which OS are you using?
Are you going across a Network and/or using a print server?

Quark and Macs can appear to do some odd things sometimes. Usually someones seen it before and solved the problem though. :)

do you have a rip server on your printer? Sometimes only certain options work when you have a rip on it.

morning all, problem solved, some tool had used font book rather than suitcase, and turned off all my system fonts, including courier, which is needed by quark for the page info.

Thanks for the responses tho.

Ah ha. A font problem.

I suggest sending that tool down to Trafford Park in a Liverpool shirt. Teach him a lesson he'll not forget.

Font Book!? Sheesh. ;)

Ah, thought so. If you hadn't figured it out, I was going to tell you to make sure you had Courier loaded. We encountered this here at work when we upgraded.
