This friday I'll have my 2 year review (well it's actually been 2 years, 2 weeks and 2 days). It's already starting on a sour note because I know I'm not getting a raise (a company wide thing because of our numbers last year).
I am going to try and see if I can't get them to give me some kind of cookie (read bonus). When I negotiated my raise last year one of the things we also discussed was a bonus system once we were able to better track my marketing efforts effecting our bottom line. Well that's been a tough road because we don't have anything solid in place to track where new customers are coming from or when people buy stuff why they chose to buy it.
I was able to get a partial list of new customers coming in from the web starting in December and since then I have at least 20 new customers (though the sales guys say that's only maybe half of what the real numbers are) and also have increased the revenue in higher margin areas.
I want 3 things out of this review
1) some kind of bonus
2) a key to the building
3) a flexible schedule. see points 1&2 on this (http://nomadishere.com/2007/03/12/a-note-to-employers-8-things-intelligent-people-geeks-and-nerds-need-to-work-happy/) article.
We'll see how that goes.
