Hoping for some advice.

I am using Indesign for the first time to create a 4 page A4 question and answer document (I have used tables in word and excel many moons ago)

I have got my first page set with strokes fills and border applied. Set all the cell heights in the dialogue box, merged and split to my satisfaction. When client approves the layout I will go on to sort out the tabs within a cell.

Now I want to go onto the next page. However I don't seem to be able to flow from the last cell bottom right of the page onto the next page by hitting the tab key. I get the red square not the dot.

I haven''t set sup headers and footers as yet 'cos I'm not sure about them yet so it can't be anything to do with that. I have also tried copying and pasting onto a fresh blank page but that seems to scramble.

Should I have set this first page up on a master page so it repeats as I add pages (F10) and if so is there some way I can convert this page to a master page. I'm hoping this is me being a dimwit and that I wont have to start again. I've tried looking in my visual quickstart book but can't see anything, maybe its the old wood and trees thing. Anyhow here's hoping :)

Have you tried clicking the "red square" with your black arrow to load the place cursor, and then click in the cell on the next page?

Hmm no—but have just now and it makes no difference. My problem is I can't get page 2 without inserting a new blank page via F10 and it is just that blank.
I thought that if I hit the tab key, tables automatically put the next row in and created the the next page when you got to the bottom.

Duplicate the first page (in pages tab, drag page onto "new page" icon), then delete all the information in the cells, then flow the text by clicking the red square from the first page and then clicking on the first cell of the second page.
