does anyone know a quick and easy way to remove the arms from an anchor point in illustrator CS2?
i've always moved them as close the the anchor point as i could, but it's a pain.
I know in coreldraw there is a button that will do it...

You mean to remove anchors that are making it curved?

Shift C to bring up the convert anchor point and then click the point will change it to an angular point, sans arms ... if that's what you're talking about.

On the pen tool, hold OPT/ALT to bring up the convert anchor tool. You can then click on the end of the handle, and drag it into the point to make it disappear. That will allow you to adjust just one side of the curve, without affecting the other.
Otherwise, if you hold OPT/ALT, and just click on the anchor point, it will remove the handle from both sides to make a true corner point. (Clicking and dragging on a corner point will create a new smooth point)
