Dirty Jobs the other night when Mike Rowe was helping run that ancient litho press? That press was cool, did you notice how the rollers weren't even mounted to anything they just floated between what looked like a couple of sticks. The part where he was trying to mix ink by eye was pretty hilarious. :D
Dirty Jobs? I don't get that show... Sounds cool!
It's on the Discovery Channel.

Damn, I missed that one! Dirty Job's is an awesome show usually. Good thing about discovery, they'll play it over and over for a little while.

I saw it, Kool. It was really interesting! I didn't really know that much about ligthography beforehand, so it was really cool to watch and see how it's done. Not to mention the 150-year-old press they used that had to be greased up by hand. Hard to believe it's still in perfect working order, but definitely built before a few safety standards were in effect!

yeah i saw it too, but it was probably a few months ago. that machine was awesome, and i agree, watching him mix colors bye eyeball was pretty great. it made me really want to get my own litho press and put it in my basement.

I love that show anyway (Mike Rowe is one of the funniest guys on TV, in my opinion), and the segment on the press was great. I also saw it a few months ago (I think the first time it aired).

I've seen most of his shows. What's strange is when Dirty Jobs first aired I thought the host looked familiar. That's because for the last several years Mike Rowe has been hosting an early morning Sunday real estate show here in the Washington area. He's very serious, not funny but very professional in his delivery on major upper end home builders. Jeckle and Hyde sort of thing.

Also, I'm pretty sure he narrates "Deadliest Catch", a show about the Alaska King crab fishermen.
