w00t! for the car!
That is fantabulous DS!
Does she have those hydraulic thingies that make 'er bounce?
Is that red leather?
The annual car shows are coming up soon over here, I will share some shots.
Oh wow... That is gorgeous!

no, no hydraulics. i'm sort of old school, so i don't like to trick old cars all out- i think original is better. except that it only has a.m. radio which is kind of a bummer. i guess the original owner wouldn't spring for the extra $44 option to get fm at the time of purchase. i'm going to look into getting a satellite radio hookup or something maybe, so that i don't have to cut up the dash and put in a new radio.
yeah i'd love to see pics of the car show. i used to live in detroit area, so the international auto show came every year and i always liked going. i missed it this year moving out to california. i guess a show came to san jose, but i didn't make it, i was out of town that weekend. i'm a huge classic car fan, but i love looking at the concept cars. i really like some of the companies that have done a good job bringing back some classic car style in their concepts. i think the mustang did a fairly good job of bringing back the fastback look, and the charger is pretty tight too. pontiac should really take a page from those guys with their gto. lincoln every year teases us with a new suicide lincoln again, with the backwards doors, thick body and low glass, but then they never make it. i'm still waiting though.

That is very sexy. I imagine that you would need long, shiny, black, leather shoes to match.
I have always wanted a morris minor pickup like this:

But I realise that a 4 door like this is more logical. Since designers rarely need a truck!

As you can see, I like voluptuous cars. :D

My old dear used to have a Moggy Minor. In Sky Blue. Loved that car.
I love old American cars, if money were no option I'd grab myself a couple and butcher them to make a Right Hand Drive version.
Can't do Left Hand Drive, makes overtaking a little risky and I'm a man with very little patience when I'm on the tarmac.

buda do you actually that sedan? oh and congrats on the new avitar.
my wife used to have a 73 vw. she drove it in high school when we started dating, so we had alot of memories in that little car. we sold it recently though. here's a pic of our neices and nephews in her car in a parade:

I have the same problem with some european classics that I really like. on the west coast here you can find some of the old late 50's early 60's rolls and bentleys for what i think is a steal, but it's nearly impossible to find one that's already left hand drive. and i wouldn't have the cash to convert it, or the patience not to pass people on the freeway.
that morris truck is really cool, i can see why you'd want one. reminds me of the old chevy and ford pickups a little that i'd like. i've always wanted one too, though i'm not sure why. i do have things i'd haul in it, my wife likes to buy antique furniture, but if i had a truck that nice i wouldn't use it for hauling anyway. and the a40 reminds me of the late 30's buicks or some other u.s. sedans that my wife likes to refer to as "mobster cars".

sweet car man. i dont think satellite radio works over the am signals though. you might be able to rig up a stereo somewhere other than the dash to keep the stock look.

i didn't know satellite radio needed an am or fm signal, i thought it was a totally independent reciever. i'd thought about doing the ipod transmitter, but when i found out i had only am radio, i decided it would be a bit ridiculous to fill my entire back seat with a huge am transmitter to listen to an ipod. i might get one and just wire it directly to the speakers under my dash like you say. maybe i can do it through the glove? i guess i should worry about getting an ipod first though.

Nice car, I love classic cars. My grandmother has a '69 Impala that she bought brand new. I hope to get it from her some day. Although it needs a lot of work..

I have a 1963 Rover P5 that i put a CD player in one of the two gloveboxes so it looks original. Apparently the P5 was the queens favourite car and she had one until quite recently.
That original car in this thread is a Lincoln Conitinental and was the type of car JFK had the misfortune to pass the grassy knoll in. Even looks like a "64
