Well I am not very good, (Still in high school) but I would still enjoy feedback on this logo. It was an assignment I did for my graphic design course last year. Program used Illustrator CS2 http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s41/Relic12345/Griffon-Studios.jpg

I am so jealous that you had a graphic design class in high school...

I'm assuming you drew the Gryphon yourself? It's nice... although the text seems a little weak to me..

But it's really late here. I shall be back tomorrow.

...did you draw the griffon or did you steal it from elsewhere and livetrace it?

Yeah the Griffon looks good... but it also looks like it might have been traced in illustrator... if not nice style to it. But yeah... the text is weak, I'd work on combining the two more somehow.

The griffon looks clip-artish. See if you can portray it in a more abstract way and incorporate it with the typography.

This is before I was good with the pen tool, I did draw it, but it was live traced. Now I do have the ability/skill to retrace it by hand but I took the quick way out here. Note drawn by hand, then scanned, the traced. No tablets involved, but I am considering getting one. Thanks for being jealous, it was a great course. Will redo/fix and repost soon.

Here are several revised versions, before I did/do anymore font work. I might change the font to "vinerhand itc". http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s41/Relic12345/Griffon-Revised.jpg Here you go.

Pick a stronger font. This is too delicate.

First off what kind of studio is it? Recording, graphic design, photography, music studio?

Depending on the kind of studio it is can help you choose the right font.
