...which is like the Bollywood style fonts. I'm putting togther an invite with a Bollywood theme and I would like the typography to be in a sort of Hindu / Gudgerati sort of typeface. Can anybody point me in the right direction please?

Some image samples might be nice. I could Google, I suppose, but since it's your request, I think I'll let you do that. :D

I think he means Baliwood (also spelled Bollywood), which is India's answer to Hollywood. They apparently make many high-budget feature films there.

Sorry I should have been more specific. Bollywood is indeed India's answer to Hollywood with their films being rather more musically and colour based with lots of dancing and singing etc. Bollywood stars include faces such as Shilpa Sheti, who is India's answer to Angelina Jolie (apparently). i.e all the stars are completely gorgeous and worshipped like gods. I'm not sure if someone like Kevin Spacey would fall into that category???
I'm rambling. Anyway that's a bit of background, and I'm putting together an invite with a 'Bollywood' theme. Basically everyone comes as Bollywood film stars dressed in loud colours and a robe called a Sari. Get the picture?
So what I thught would be nice is to use some Indian/Hindu type fonts.
Its a bit of a tough one, i've googled until i'm all googled out and I just wondered if anyone had heard of a source or indeed some actual indian fonts that I don't have to pay megadollars for.
This might be helpful...http://www.bollywoodworld.com...or not!

I just googled this. "Welcome" written in different Indian scripts.
You can find similar free fonts under "arabic" on the dafont site. (http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=202)

Welcome. Glad to be of service.
Never been called BF before. Makes me think of BFG (http://www.hpc.susx.ac.uk/images/bfg.gif) or boyfriend or bestfriend.

Mmm...I see what you mean...though I doubt you could be compared to a Roald Dahl character unless you really are 20 feet tall and wander around at night blowing dreams through peoples window (sorry huge BFG fan!)...loved the image that really brought back some memories, I used to love RD books when I was a kid.
PS had a look at your website...liking your work my friend

No worries, I loved the feel of it, awesome.
Heh heh the avatar!
Well it actually started out as a joke, the character is called Squirt from the film Finding Nemo, I don't know if you've ever seen it? But he's like this baby surfer dude and everyone said that I talked like him apparently, and not that I actually look like a baby sea turtle heh heh...so yeah he basically represents me...:)

Mmmm. I'm not sure we're on the same wavelength here huh BF heh heh.
Surely the doom BFG stands for Big F**k-off Gun?
And our BFG is a loveable childrens character the Big Friendly Giant!
I don't think they could be confused lol :)
