Can anyone inform me what InDesign's incremental move is? Quark's is (Mac) "item tool=option=arrow" which moves items in small increments. What the hay is InDesign's? Thanks!

Are you talking about when you push one of the arrows?

Mynock, in Quark you can select the item tool then select lets say a picture box and hit the arrow key and move the box about a 1/32". If I hold down the option key and hit the arrow it's a fraction of that. I would think that InDesign has a similar quickkey combination to move objects in smaller increments instead of changing the prefs.

<shift><control> and arrow is 1/10 of increment
arrow is increment
<shit> and arrow is 10 times increment

I'm at home now working on Indy2 not at work working on CS2. What I'm getting when I hit "shift control arrow" is no movement. If I hit shift option I get movement but the graphic duplicates itself on each movement. Now it seems with Indy2, shift apple moves in smaller increments. I wonder if it's the same on CS2?

I dunno. It works for me in CS2 and CS1 on XP. I only have PC so I can't try it on an apple.

Shift Apple is most likely the pcs shift control equivalent. Thanks Mynock!:)

That last one seems like a lot of trouble ;)

I hear they make a new briefcase for it though...
