Hi

I realise everyone is different but sometimes I think it is crazy how quickly you have to come up with ideas and execute them.
For example, I have a project to do create some brochure concepts (not just a layout with supplied photos) I need to come up with ideas - find stock photography or create/illustrate visuals for 5 cover ideas and 3 spreads - to match the best three covers. How long would you allow for a project like this (on an average budget)?

I've got two days - do you think thats a lot or would you allow more time?

Look forward to hearing your thoughts

Thanks

If I were doing a brochure I'd think I could mock up 2-3 ideas in a two day time frame, but they'd be pretty rough and need a lot of revision.

On the subject of time expecations... At my first job we (a team of several people) had about 4-6 weeks to put together an interactive flash piece. At my second job, I got in trouble if it took me (alone) more than half a day to do an e-card or 2-3 days to do a full interactive flash piece.

So my point is that depending on the knowledge and understanding of what you do, different bosses and clients are going to have wildly different (and sometimes wildly unreasonable) expectations of the time a project should take.

Why should you guys have any longer than you expect the printer to get it printed in?:p
