I think I've asked this before, but we've run into this same problem again. On a G4 Mac we've loaded a new harddrive, then loaded Suitcase, loaded all fonts into Suitcase, then loaded PPD's and all other programs, THEN loaded Quark 5.0. Onto a machine with OS 10.3. For some reason we can get the fonts to look great in Suitcase, and all Adobe programs, but in Quark they show up all bitmapped. The screen fonts AND the printer fonts are loaded, and they print fine, but you can't even read them in Quark. Any suggestions?

Quark 5 needs ATM to show fonts properly. You're running in Classic right?
Is Suitcase rigged for Classic (I don't know, I don't use it). Otherwise, you usually have to load the fonts onto the OS9 side of the machine like in the old days. System Folder>Font folder.

See, we have probably 8 other machines, all put together the same way (but by a different person) that work fine with Suitcase, so we're assuming its just something we're doing wrong. Quark is running out of classic, but maybe you're right..maybe they have to be in the OS 9 side. I'll try that. Thanks.

When I used to use it I installed Suitcase in the OS X Application Folder. It gave
me support for OS X and for the Classic environment. That was with Quark 4.x
and Suitcase 10. Did you install the Suitcase Xtension in your Quark Xtension
folder? You need to do that for Quark to recognize the fonts Suitcase activates.
ATM is essential for your Post Script fonts, too, but if the other applications
see them fine that probably isn't the problem.
