Just wondering if anyone has heard from him...and how is hometown made out after the hurricane.

No but I think he was up in Chitown. My sister was in Orlando and said even the hotel lost power so I'm assuming it was pretty bad.

my grandma lives over there in an apt and she said she had to hide in her closet cause it was so bad her bed was shaking off the ground

hey people... I'm ok. I just got back from Chicago and yes our area got hit VERY badly! We have no power (I'm checking in from work right now) and they said we won't for another week! but it's good to know that people care. I am taking tomorrow off to clean up. but I should be back Wednesday.

My friend that was in Orlando over the weekend said that there was alot of damage there. I hope it doens't take you a full week to get that power back Joe!!

Joe's got power at work...it seems more the residential areas in his neighbhour hood got smoked the worst. Stupid hurricane. But, at least we don't get hurricanes like jupiter does.

I wonder if that hurricane washed up any prehistoric monsters onto shore. Actually, I bet if you walked the beach in florida right now you'd find tons of stuff.

Hey Joe sorry I'm so late here. glad to hear everyone is safe. I hope you had plenty of beer in your survival kit. Even warm beer is better than no beer.
Helpful hint for cooling drinks with no electricity:
Get an old tube sock and get it wet. Water works but rubbing alchohol is better. Then drop a can or two inside the sock and take it outside and spin it until the sock is almost dry. Then wet it down again and repete your drink will be nice and cool.
