Is there a way to export a .EPS file to .CDR

I need to submit a file to a graphics company for printing, however they told me the EPS file I have will not work for them since they use Corel Draw 9.0

They asked if I could resend it as a .cdr/.cmx file or .eps in version 4.0 or later...

First off, i'm not aware how to tell which version of EPS my .eps file is saved in, nor how to convert it to an older version ...

I found this page:

http://www.softfields.com/epsconvert.php

But i'm not quite sure what this does exactly I saw it had options for Version 7-10 ...

Any tips/help would be much appreciated.

The main thing that gets messed around with these days is the transparency handling of files. Ask them if they'll accept a PDF and make a 1.3 Version (Acrobat 4) if you can. Check the PDF with a fine tooth comb afterwards just incase something goes a little awry.

Another route to take is to back save the Illustrator file to a previous version. You
could ask if they can use an .eps from Illustrator 10 or before. Again, you'll want
to be very careful to check the results before sending it off. You'll lose a number
of features and effects back saving.
