I'm designing a cd cover. I've done this....I don't know, dozens of times and printed it out on my home printer, crop it physically on a cutting board and fold it ...... it's been perfect everytime, no problems.
This time around, I'm doing a cover for someone else, and I want it printed with a good printer on quality stock. I tried staples/office depot with a jpg, and it forced a size change to proportion it with the 8.5x11 paper.
I explained I didn't want it resized automatically, and they suggested a pdf. Fine, I tried that, got it printed and it resized under the original dimensions. What the hell? How do I get this done properly. If I print it from my desk printer, it's perfect, as soon as I try a higher quality printer, it's anyone's guess as to the right size?
Can anyone help?
