what kind of paper do you use? it seems all mine are way too thin? what weight should i get? any suggestions? and where to buy..staples, art store... this is just a business card for class, so nothing major... thanks!
Are you talking about printing from an inkjet or bubblejet? If so, be aware that any little bit of water will smudge the ink. If somebody puts it into their breast pocket for instance, then goes dancing, their sweat will ruin your card, and there's a possibility your card will ruin their shirt. Neither are good for business.
My suggestion is to print on glossy photo paper, then laminate with either a laminating machine, or with cold laminates. In this case, the thickness of the paper doesn't matter so much, as the thickness of the laminate will come more into play.

If it's just for a class, go to Staples, Officemax etc and get the perferated card stock. And while you're there, wander around and look at all the other things they have. Including the print center. Sooner or later, you'll be back.

I've used the perforated business card stock in a pinch. They also have stock that allows you to do a bleed on all four sides. They are 8-up instead of the other stock which is 10-up. You're limited to white or cream colored stock.
Ive heard of them, but never used them.
thanks. ill prob pick some up and give them a shot.
