Last week I mentioned that I was re-doing my office here at home. I believe my exact words were 'Everything should be back to normal next week.' What a dumb ass I am. Here's the story (before and after pics will be posted when I'm done) Over the last two weeks I got the walls paneled, I like a nice 'Woody' look, and the trim and the ceiling painted. I discovered that under my nasty, worn out, old carpet there are nasty, worn out, old hardwood floors. Unlike the carpet though they can be restored, rejuvinated and refinished! So tomorrow I'm going to rent a big ass sander and go to work on it. After I get it sanded I have to clean the crap out of it and then apply stain & finish. It has to dry for a week according to the little video I watched at HGTV.com. Then comes the fun part; furnishing and decorating. /emoticons/cool.gif

WOO HOOO Happy Friday everyone! Great post Kool - as usual! :o)

I am really excited about this weekend! My dad is coming to stay at my new house for the first time since I bought it. Yes MY HOUSE..NOT...my apartment! YAY! My aunt from New Hampshire is also coming down with my dad and his wife. So far I have learned they are bringing the wine, the rum and the tequila - I guess when they get here we will have to go and buy the beer bc THAT is what I drink..LOL!!! We have a secret familt recipe for BBQ chicken so a cookout is on the list of things to do Saturyda! YAY! Sunday I will be driving my aunt to Jacksonville so she can catch her flight back to New Hampshire :o)

heh....HAPPY FRIDAY....... I'm in a naughty mood. SO messing with the F while he is at work (naughty dirty emails....) will limit his being able to get up from his desk at work...lol....i did that the other day....had the most amazing...well, so I feel liek that again today. anyways, save the dust from your 2nd sand (i'm assuming you'll sand 2 or three times...). mix it with pva and use it to fill the gaps or any imperfections/gouges. perfect colour match.
