Hello,
I hope you can help me.

Lately I update Windows 2000 and I think after this I can not save the new files I create with corel draw suite 11. But, when I take an old file I am able to overwrite it, but not save as a new file.

Do you have any idea, what is happening??

Thank you...

Very wierd. have you tried 'Save As'?

- of course you did -

Have you tried saving as a CMX?

Have you tried saving to a different Hard drive?

whatever I do it is not possible to "save as" a new file (draw file of photo paint) I can not do it http://graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/huh.gif . Even saving in another hard disk.

I try every format but nothing happens. http://graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/icon_sad.gif

Thank you any way.

I hate to say it but it sounds like time for a re-install.

copy everything and paste it on a new document, then try to save it.
This is one of Corel's problems but still is a good software, I've been using it since Draw 5.

G'day Everyone

My First reply/post

Have you tried an F8 reset to default when starting up CorelDRAW ?

TOMMYBOY.... This problem happens when I try to make a new draw... always...
the only way to save a new draw is....
take an old file,
copy and rename the copy,
make my figure or draw and save it,
But I repete, I can not.... save a new file and (use) save as... to save this new file.

OzRoD.... What do you mean by using F8 reset??
should I restart my system, or what??

Thank you everybody.....................http://graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/cheers.gif

F8 reset is done to reset CorelDRAW default settings. You simply hold down the F8 key while you start CorelDRAW (Keep it held down until CorelDraw opens). This will usually fix any accumulated problems within the program. The only downfall is that you will have to reset all of your Options settings.
Hope this helps.
