Epson 9500 Printer waste tank question.

My epson 9500 waste tank appears to be full or so the error says. I am looking for anyone who knows how to reset the code. I ordered the new waste tanks however Epson sent the wrong ones. They sent them for a 9000. I really need to get a job out but I cant get bast the error code.My thought was to take the 9500 tank out remove the old absorbtion material and replace it with the ones in the 9000 tanks. It is the same material. But how do I then get past the Error Code. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sorry to admit I had to send mine down the street to be zapped by an Epson repair center. Lucky for me it's only about 5 miles away. The tech refused to tell me what he did. Bastid.
