Hey guys, You know how graphic designers are totally different to everyone else?
Just want to get some ideas about what designers talk about to eachother.
like how we analyze the opening credits at that start of a movie.....and how
we can have an hour long conversation about a texture.....
Also trying to come up with hypothetical questions that designers would ask themselves.
example: If you were stranded on a deserted island, which typeface would you take and why?
If you could sleep with one typeface, who would it be and why?
If you had one design super power, what would it be?
and what type of graphic designer do you want to be when you grow up?
I need similar questions to these......if anybody has any ideas......cheers

I don't know about any quirky conversations or questions, but I did have a second helping of kern on the cob last night. It helps keep my typesetting regular.

my super-designer power would be ctrl+z. but i've often wanted to have an eyedropper that would sample from real life.
I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.

I agree. I also wish life had background music. Everything would be so much better. Like in horror movies, if the people could hear the background music, there would be a lot less death rates.

my super power would be eyedropper...my favorite tool....
If I could sleep with a typeface,...would probably be any of the egyptian typefaces (century schoolbook) because they would probably be quite the ticklers....
my favorite graphic design term is....widow...because if I say it...my coworkers don't know what I'm talking about!

The typeface I'd take to a desert island would be Hamburger!
I'd sleep with Naughty Candy...
I was once working on a remodeling project around the bunker and reached out for CMD-Z w/o realizing I was in real-time... There is no Undo in life... Sad Really.

That's funny, Ryan... I've always said that I wanted to have my own theme song. You know, like Darth Vader!

yeah and it would play everytime you walked into a new setting.
funny you mention darth vader, because my theme would be this jungle remix of the emperor's song I heard the other day.
super power: command-z, but illustrator style so i can go back as far as i need to
Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?

Mine would be the intro to Enter Sandman by Metallica.
But I'd probably have to change it every now and then to keep 'em guessing.
