Vacation

Having a vacation this summer? If so, where to?

I have planned a trip to Amsterdam, Netherlands and Prague, Czech Republic (which will be the 4th time). Maybe going to a party-place in southern Europe aswell, in a quest of being somewhat constantly intoxicated for a week.

Greece the first week of June. The day after we get back the movers are coming to pack and move our stuff. The next day we are flying to our new home. My last day of work is the day before we leave for Greece, so I'm kind of on vacation till I find a job.

...but summer has just finished! We're going to Niue in August now. It's winter, but should still be pretty good.

Our next will be Burning Man, in late August. Our first Burning Man, although we've dipped our toe in similar, but much smaller events.

Holy crap Urst! Are you going to be a Burning Man kinda girl? One of my friends went last time and her photos where UNREAL! Fantastical people, sculptures, drugs. Lots of naked people and lots of people on drugs. Oh and lots and lots of dust.

Fredrich, that sounds like my kind of thing...Stay at different points and tour... Been Saving up for Madagascar for a while now, but I would really love to do Angola and Zimbabwe too. It's easier to combine Zambia, Angola and Zimbabwe... will see. Summer over here is in Dec to Feb, so that's the best time.

Looking forward to seeing the pics too!

We're leaving on Saturday for a Carribean cruise. We're going to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Caman Island, and Cazumel Mexico. I am very excited, it's our first cruise. Usually my Husband and I wouldn't do a cruise, we prefer going on solo adventures instead of being on a boat with 3,000 people, that all get to the same port at the same time. But hey, we're going with family, and they are paying, so how could we refuse:D I am really looking forward to a week of sun and relaxation.

In a month, im headed to Hawaii for a 7 day cruise. Goin to a luau and taking surfing lessons. Im really looking forward to seeing the Pearl Harbor memorial though.

At the end of the summer Im off to Vegas, gotta win big to pay for the next trip- Costa Rica

Those trips sound great, Jacki. Will this be your first time to Hawaii? I haven't yet been, but we're talking about going for my birthday, which will be my 50th, so we're gonna call it Hawaii 5-0. :D

Buda and others, yes, we're hoping to get to Burning Man this year, it's looking pretty good. I'll definitely share pics when I get back.

If the smaller, local events I've been to are any indication, you can make of Burning Man whatever you choose to make of it, the experience is yours to define, so I'm really interested in checking it out. There is lots of the stuff you mentioned, Buda, but it doesn't have to be that experience for you if it's not what you want to do.

I prefer to stay local and cycle during my vacation.
