Gee...
If I cared anymore about it - these sites would inspire the hell out of me. I'd get busy practicing. I'd be sketching, photoshoping, whatever!
Thank-goodness I got that out of my system in South America and Europe... Okay, and the US.
Now all I care about are whether my investments don't require any attention and whether Fifi is coming over before or after Jennifer leaves...
That and whether the margarita machine and the beer keg are ready for the weekend - although I often can't tell just when the weekend has begun or ended.
I sometimes Love art though, and it's you guys and sites like those above that inspire me, every-so-often, to spit out some new piece of... of... art to put up in the breakfast room if it can stand the morning sun or up in the library if it's more subdued and compelling. Or on occasion sell it at some outlandish price for an hour's craft...
Art is a mystery and commercial art is the greater mistress. Her lips are red and soft and warm, but her laugh cuts deep. She moves on to replaced by another and another until the bodies, arms, eyes, breasts, legs all seem the same... not to mention the personalities... especially those of the clients - or Mundanes as I call them.
You know it doesn't matter whether they're in New York, Atlanta, Dallas, LA, Buenos Aires, London... they're all the same - the Mundanes - not the waxers.
How was that? Did that seem sincere at all? I've been practicing sincerity lately and have hoped to come across as more caring than in the past. I did bookmark the two really good sites - honest!
Oh, and for inspiration; The Paintings of Jack Vettriano are a good start.

I got a lot of photographic inspiration from www.dpchallenge.com
There are a lot of amazing photographers and piles of useful information on digital photography.
I ended up getting a Canon EOS 10D and this site helped sooooo much.

Thanks, perm. Someone gave me a poster for the Roots that was a spoof of the ads for Michael Jordans' cologne, (it showed a sillouette of ?uestlove's afro in black on a red background), and ever since then I've been obsessed with their stuff. I love their style.

I'm also a big Escher fan. I remember watching a film about him in my 9th grade art class and ever since then I have loved his work. I got my best friend a cat as a b-day gift one year and he even named him Escher...hehe! Yeah - he's the color of graphite too...LOL!
Those Escher legos are awesome tho!

Thanks Snypa those legos are nice.
DZ I would like to know the name of that film as well I've heard of it before. I used to spend hours reading about Escher and oggling his work. I've got two lithos of his work in my house and I want more, but I want them to be unusual ones. I once had (don't know where it went) a small one that he had done for a bookmark for the national library in europe just after WWII. It was from the perspective of someone climbing out of a well on a wooden ladder it was awesome. Wish I knew where it was.

Joe & Greg: I'm not 100% sure that this is the one I saw. If it IS then it has been re-released, If it's NOT, it's really close to what I saw because it is the only one I saw that goes from his childhood and throughout his life and also has interviews with him, and it sounds just like the one that I saw. You can see it here ----> www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1569383065/ref=pd_sim_video_1/103-5155835-9574226?v=glance&s=video#product-details (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1569383065/ref=pd_sim_video_1/103-5155835-9574226?v=glance&s=video#product-details)
