I have been working out some ideas for my new website. I've had lots of ideas but have had trouble pulling any of them together. Here is one so I thought I would put it out for some feedback. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
I have not added any text to the layout but it would positioned on both sides of the white vertical dividing line.

Thanks

The blue isnt working. Make that black with yellow words to match your logo tag.

Or make your logo
tag blue with black words to match the blue title line at the bottom. Otherwise, I like it, despite looking a lot like every other portfolio that has used a woodgrain texture for the background.

As of now the way your contrast works the white/light bars pop out at you the most. My guess would be you'd rather have the logo pop first with a lighter wood grain background.

Is there a reason the logo's at an angle? I would suggest either giving it a solid positioning ala light and shadow or perhpas an angle a bit more subtle to go along with the rest of the design.

Lastly the roof outlines just bother me floating in space like that. With you background continuing through the whole site any notion of grounding those outlines on the nav bar fly out the window in my opinion.
