I made these animations using GIF construction set professional (free trial) and I think, Paint Shop Pro.(free trial)
I had never done anything like this before, and I'm not really good at a mouse with fuzzballs in it, but I promise I drew these pics and didn't copy them. My free trials ran out and there went my fun. I wonder if something like this could be done with a digital drawing pad? Oh, could I have fun it I weren't so broke!

You might have more feedback if you don't post them as .zip files. I'd be hesitant to open a .zip file from someone I don't know. :)

The files are too large to post as anything else. They are animations. One of them has about 60 frames in it.

Any suggestions?

Try posting them on a free image upload site like tinypic.com, rather than as attachments. You can then copy the image code they give you after you upload them into a post on here, and filesize won't be an issue, like it is with attachments.

If you click on the little number at the top right of the post with the pictures, you can see the cat animation. I don't know why it just showed one and not them all. By the time I get to the bottom of the thread, the cat animation is done!

I fixed the images so that you can see them in the actual post, rather than clicking on a separate link to see them. If you quote your original message, you can see what the proper syntax is, but basically, you didn't need the URL code, just the IMG code.
