I've managed to train the two year old to say "Don't patronize me" when strangers ask her how old she is, but Will Farrel's kid is just stupendous!

That's really funny Frankster. And that's a great phrase to teach your two year old. Ever notice how people will ask a child his or her age, but will become horribly offended if that child asks them how old they are?

That's so funny Frankster!!! Has she actually said that to people yet? What kind of response does she get?

The video is hilarious, too...my 4 year old came in the room while I was watching it and had this look of horror on her face, I don't think she could quite process what was going on!!

Ugh.

Didn't Michael Jackson start out doing things like this?

Sorry. Is it cute and funny to show toddlers acting as rude and crass adults? Or is it an example of exploitating the innocent. Sure, you can rationalize that it's just for the fun of it, but it's gotta have some long term repur-cuss-(sh)ins.

"If you must hold yourself up to your children as an object lesson, hold yourself up as a warning and not as an example."

I don't think I'd ever consider teaching either of my kids to say things like "bitch" or "I want to get my booze on", but we've managed to get it so that my two year old will answer other kids and adults she knows by telling them her age, but only if it's a stranger will she come out with the don't patronize me routine. I do like the idea of getting her to ask right back how old the adult is though (it's mostly middle aged women who ask her how old she is).

Latest cute thing is the 14 month old squashing a toy duck on her own head really hard so that it squeeks each time and shouting "duck duck DUUUUCK!!!" in delight, then falling over and laughing until it looks like she's going to have a fit.

Also if you say to her "we are super villains" she will say "Mwah ha haaaaaa"

Yeah, it was funny, but broacher is right,a cussing toddler is just not the classiest thing.

I saw part of this video a few weeks ago. I wouldn't watch the rest. My kids have an extrememly foul mouthed uncle. When my older ones were 4 and 2 we were in the grocery store. My oldest was singing Jesus Loves Me when my 2 year old son yells out "Where's the f*^*#@ beer?" It was a really surreal moment and everyone in the store turned around and gave me this glare. I went back to the house and gave their uncle the business. Years later, we laugh about it, but I wasn't too happy at the time.
