I've been hearing good things about Lynda.com, and I was thinking of going through some of the Flash stuff...Anyone tried it?

Haven't tried it for Flash, but the tutorials for Premier Pro 2, Encore, Audition, After Effects and sound editing were well worth the time they took to view.
I'd say go ahead and try it, there are different subscription options, so it should be fairly painless $-wise.

Cool, plus the company will pay, since they are the ones who want me to learn...

Books and DVD's are good. Just started using the on-line service though work. It is easy to use and a subscription is pretty cheap plus you have acess to EVERY title.

Yes, I've watched the Flash and Actionscript tutorials and they were very good.
