Hello all,
My name is Doug and I have had my own studio for 4+ years now here in Massachusetts after being in the business for over 15 years.
I have had mostly ups but my fair of downs and have seen it all in the last few years after making every mistake in the book.
I hope to share a lot this knowledge here.
Happy to answer any questions (here or personal email)

Welcome Aboard Doug :)
I just have one question for you, Doug... What kind of seasonings do you have? I prefer my design firm owners to be spicy with a sharp tang. MSG is a no-no. I don't like the unnatural, over-processed taste of MSG.

Well, Ned.
I am not sure I agree with you on the MSG.
I am more like Kramer (on Seinfeld) who requests, "Extra MSG please!"
ciao,
/d
Hehe... I heart Kramer... Except for that racist 'bout he had...

I am also fond of parmesan cheese - does that count as a seasoning?

I use it as a seasoning, so yes.
Yes, I will concur with that!!

Chili powder and garlic salt sounds good to me too but parmesan tastes and smells like vomit. Therefore my fellow parmesan loving GDFers, you are all vomit lovers.
Oh and welcome Doug.

Welcome to the insanity Doug!
Hmmm...now I'm going to get naked and go roll around in the rosemary, thyme and oregano in my garden....

You're not a pork roast are you?
Not yet! But my partner Ed does a mean one on the rotisserie on his 'penis-extender BBQ*'....
- J.
(*it's one of the biggest stainless steel BBQ's you can get...it's the one almost every guy massages as he walks into a Lowes store...)
LOL at the penis-extender BBQ.
Welcome Doug, we wouldn't eat an owner unless he were well seasoned. ;)

LMAO @ rubbing the Lowe's grill.....
I saw one the other day with it's own light source, a side burner unit, and a fridge and sink attached...<drool> If I had a million dollars, that'd be on the list. Simple yet fully functional works for me though. LOL!

The only design sinners I know are the ones that use the font that shall not be named, but I guess they have a circle. Interesting.
