I was looking for some background on this before commenting... if anyone else is interested check out this (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27849) thread first.
I think that these are coming along, but not sure they're 100% yet.
In #1 and #2 I don't think that the "T" is clear enough.
I find the bug for 3 (the graphic element) too busy and rather distracting.
I think that #'s 4 and 6 are stronger marks as they stand, with my personal preference being for #4. I do think that you could do more to work in the idea of "dotting the i's and crossing the t's", but I think that you're making progress.
Do you have sketches for the project, and if so, would you be willing to post them?

I think the bulls-eye idea is strong, but the check mark in #3 distracts from the concept.

The bulleye reminds a lot of the "tip" icon you see in the for dummies book series and bearing in mind I don't own any and have never really read any, just flicked through in a book shop probably a good couple of years ago. Makes me think that anyone looking for an accountant for the first time may have attempted using one of the for dummies books on accountancy and I wouldn't want them to make that association.

When I suggested the idea of dotting the i and crossing the t I was thinking of more of a handwritten dot and line maybe in red (teachers marker stylee) on black type. Insinuating that this company could take your accounts and correct flaws/ show you errors/ make them technically perfect.

I really like the concept for #1. Associating precise with a crosshair is a good angle, but visually I think it needs a touch more contrast. Maybe increase the weight on the horizontal line a bit and decrease the height of accounting.
just a thought though
I think the concept in number four is most successful but, the composition can be improved. Perhaps instead of just using the i as part of reticle have the T in accounting become part of it also. Many scopes don't just have two cross hairs that meet perpendicularly but, have smaller ones extending down the horizontal and vertical lines also.
With that said though, I didn't initially see the cross hair relationship until amadeupword pointed it out. Once it was pointed out I got it and though it was clever. However, at the same time do you think its beneficial to the company's image to have crosshairs represented in their identity?- with all the "negative" things that can be associated? Thats just a flaw I saw when I was made aware of the concept. So allthough I think the idea is clever it might not be the most appropriate.
Going back to the inital thread I really liked the idea of the dotting the i's and crossing the t's and thought it was very clever. So I would recommend exploring that direction further.

thanks for the feed backs.. I tried my best to make adjustments to what has been said. (I tried to explore the crossing of the "t's" and "i's" and it just wasn't working for me).

I don't really like the line separating the two words. But I like the contrast in #5 in the "i" and "t". The "t", however, just doesn't read too well. It looks like ACCOUNIING.
Your strongest is definitely #4 imo. You might try making the line the same weight as accounting. It's pretty close. Precise may be getting a bit too bold but I like it better than the others. Are you going to add some color to this? That may change it a lot, for better or worse..

I'll be adding color to it. I was just trying to narrow down the selection of designs before I send it out to the client. I see what your saying about #4 does seem a bit bold.

it's always good to start out in black and white.
Don't know if you've tried this, so I'll mention it... what if in #5 you make the vertical crosshair line thinner to match the weight of the smaller font? I am curious to see if that would unify the mark more by representing both fonts, since right now it doesn't really fit with the font for "accounting."
You might want to look at THESE (http://www.wpclipart.com/signs_symbol/targets/index.html) crosshairs for inspiration.
I do like the execution of the crosshair in #1 more.
I like the strength of the font used in "precise" in #4 and I think that #6 has potential as well.
I don't think that #2 and #3 are as strong as the others.
Have you experimented with putting the crosshairs inside the letter "C" in "Precise"?
Good progress. :)

i like 4 in the top group best but i'm not sure i like the capital I with a dot
I agree with Frankster about the similarity of the bullseye to the TIP icon, and I would add that it reminds me of the TARGET logo.

I was trying that, but it was looking to busy especially when I shrunk it down smaller.

I tried changing the capital “I” to a small “I” but the dot on the small “I” was now flushed with the rest of the letters, and when I do stretch it up it looks like a capital “I” again with a dot over it.
I made some slight changes here:

what if you make the I in #1 black as well? does that make the crosshair too obvious?
i'm not so sure pink says accounting, either. i don't think pink carries TOO professional of a connotation -- i'd play around with some others.
