I have the domain registered with company "A" and the hosting with company "B". The hosting is working because i can log into the ftp. When I try to go to the site, it says "This domain is parked free with company A". In the company "A" control panel I set the name servers to the ones provided by company "B". What else am I missing? I gave the company "B" the clients email address, and told the client to forward me the emails, but she hasn't done it yet...thanks!

Is your DNS Redirect showing up when you look back in the Control Panel?

Redirects can take a between 4 -24 hours to be picked up. When the servers refresh in effect.

If it is showing up and has been there for more than 24hrs, get onto Company A. Mind you, I have read in some small prints from certain hosters that they don't allow redirects... not saying yours doesn't, but sounds like a support ticket being filed.

Thanks, Company B actually called me to welcome me to their hosting, and I asked him some stuff and he gave me the correct ip address to type into the domain name control panel and it worked. I never received an email with it, and the setting was a little hidden.

You need to contact company A and tell them to point the DNS (domain name servers) to company B. Usually, the cpanel for your hosting account will tell you where the DNS should point.
