Never done one - Can anyone give me an idea of what's involved? I have a friend who I am putting together a forum for and he wants a shopping cart (not sure why yet).

Are there any, free, already built options or low-cost options I could use?

I just came across this one, that I'm setting up for a client. It's really easy to put together, and it's only $150 (one time cost). I bought the generic template, swapped in the layout that I had already made and it was ready to go.

Of course you could always go free with OScommerce, but the paid versions are generally much easier to set up and design (unless you know php).

I used ASPStorefrontDotNet. It sucked ass.

I just set up a site using Paypals stuff and it is incredibly simple.

just a few free to use. There's actually hundreds of them.
