This is another new flyer (8-1/2 x 11") I'm looking to print and hand out at car shows to try and drum up some more 'paint design' business.

I'm really liking the front, but I'm thinking that the back seems a bit bland or something.

Any suggestions on what might help? Or is it ok as-is?

Thanks for your help everyone...I appreciate it.

Perhaps you should put your sexy logo on the back of the flyer too. Near the top as the top is a bit bland. Not that bland is a bad thing. Sometimes you things are bland, sometimes they are simple. Simplicity is a good thing.

I don't really understand the definition/dictionary layout, but i think "visual horsepower" should be a noun not an adjective. Your 3 listed definitions describe a noun anyways.

I really like the illustrations and photographs though.

I would keep it all black, the white isn't working imo

make the logo bigger!
... I'm kidding :D

i like the white... there are too many all black flyers round here so the white is a nice change.
the only think i'm not 100% on is the repetition of the red chevy(?) image on the front and back.... i'd possibly try to look for a more interesting shot for the front. It works great for the back tho.
I might be tempted to make the strapline on the back bigger too.

I know you are generalising to flyers, but how is 'white' a nice change? White is the norm/standard on everything really

all the flyers i ever see around here (leeds/bradford) are all either dark or garish colours because they're trying to stand out, when the truth of the matter is that they all meld in with each other. A plain and simple white would stand out like a sore thumb. imo it gives a cleaner, more airey feeling a lot of the time, it keeps the focus on the content... and just because i'm a two tone boy, i love it with a flat black too.
so with regards to local flyer design, it's a nice change to me. I understand what you're saying though... it is a basic standard... but one i think works well here really. :)

Yeah, I suppose. I do see white flyers, but they are usually shit. So a well designed one would make a nice change ;)

i would clean up the pics of the car a bit nicer. The people you are servicing love their cars and the pics you have look washed out. Maybe silhouette the before pics or something but defiently do some color correction on them and make them look almost as mint as you illustrations. I would keep the white background as well i like the black to white and it makes your pics pop.

Good suggestion...I'm going to add clipping paths on the images on the back and I'll adjust the colors on them once I find the right photos to drop in on the front...I'm still rootin' around for more images that might be better quality on a couple of them.

I really like what your doing with showing the inital illustration and its application to the real world. Perhaps you could introduce that aspect into the front of the flyer rather then just your logo and a couple of car shots. I think that combination of imagery is much more impactfull and says more for your skill level then does your logo. Therefore, I think it should become the focus rather then your logo. In the end, your logo isn't really selling anything. However, illustration combined with the end result sells both a desire and proves you can make it happen. Anyone can say they can design wrap or paintjobs but, I think taking it to the level of actual showing the transformation is where the most success and impact will be accomplished in the flyer. Don't get me wrong- your logo looks nice but, its not really selling anything. More or less its representing something people don't really car about- your company. However, they may care about having vehicle graphics done so instead you should grab their attention with that then dovetail to your company rather then the other way around.
