Software Trouble

they give us software to work at template design...their own proprietary software...I've accepted this, but its so friggin annoying with this crap dont work!

Give me Illustrator, photoshop, and indesign, then things would be fine, but no here I sit waiting for the net to load, and here I will wait till I go home.

How frustrating! These people have to learn that you need to spend money to make money!

I worked for a huge company that wouldn't pay for MS Office for my department - just for marketing. The rest of us needed a word processing program and a spreadsheet program, so they got a freeware knockoff which was not compatible with MS Office, then complained that we couldn't share files.

Course, you also couldn't use half the free program's features without paying for the full version... ah, memories.

You know what are neat? Sheep. Because they're wooly, and if you pick them up, they scream!

its better than the retail job i had, and i think there is a good possability to become a real 'junior designer' at some point soon. its nearing the end of month 2 here for me, I'll wait it out for a while, the company treats us very well. This is also a good job to pay the bills while I start my freelance up on the side, we'll see what happens from there...

BTW I'm always keeping my options open...would be nice if someone called me from a previous interview looking for me, but oh well, we'll keep at this, its good experience, and thats what I need at this point in my career

Drorain Magnus put it best 'thats just stupid' but hang in there you don't want to loose the job either.

Just use there crap software and get experience then you can jump ship but waite at least a year.
