This is an old piece that I wanted to revisit. I particularly wanted suggestions on improving my typography on the bottom. I tend to struggle with type. And the color choice usually gets an equal amount of yays and nays, so any suggestions with that would be good also. Anything else really would be great.

My thinking with the color is (it's a play poster and here's some background) since this is a comedy about the future and computers, green felt like an electric and suitable color choice. Perhaps I'm just getting tried of it since i've seen my poster so many times. I don't know.

(EDIT: my image isn't showing up for me, so here is the link if it doesn't show for you either- Babes in America (http://bp1.blogger.com/_Qdf4OiV6GPg/RnRGOqx99bI/AAAAAAAAAGg/K1_DL1wDCuU/s1600-h/BabesInAmerica01.jpg).)

Here's another poster I've done where I feel my typography is much more successful: Collage Dance Theatre (http://bp0.blogger.com/_Qdf4OiV6GPg/RnRFpax99aI/AAAAAAAAAGY/vQ0pwWcG8-o/s1600-h/CollageDanceTheatre01.jpg). But I don't know if this style would work with this current poster.

All suggestions, positive and negative, are very much appreciated. Thanks!

I like it.... stop looking at it. I find that looking at it too much, too often, for too long makes even the best artwork seem insufficient. Repeat any word a whole bunch of times and it starts to just become a sound...

looks good.

i think it looks great! the focus is on the title, then the image, so i think plain text on the bottom is fine. doing too much with it might draw attention away from the other elements.

Very nice. The only thing I would consider changing is to capitalize the text in Box Office. The web site address would be expected to be lowercase, but the Box office seems to be inconsistent and looks like an error to me.

I like it... nice and simple but still interesting to look at. Excelent choice of color. Great hierarchy in the compostion.

A few comments:

INFORMATION: There is nowhere on the poster that you can see it's a play, perhaps an addition in the "by Carole Clement" could be "a play by Carole Clement"?

ILLUSTRATION: I don't know if it is on purpose, but it looks like the child has stubbles on his cheek. It could create unwanted attention. Just a thought.

Hope you could use the input.

I may experiment adding "a play by.." Thanks for the suggestion.

And the stubbles on his cheek is meant to be there. It is a five o'clock shadow. It much easier to read in print, the way it's supposed to be. Whether it draws attention or not is not so important, because there's not much else on the page anyways.

Thanks for the input.

And to anyone else, more input is welcome...

I also like it and think it's looking good... but I will admit I didn't know it was a play until I read through some of the other comments.

I like the stubble on the baby!!

(other poster is good too... is that justin timberlake's face?)

If I remember correctly, i think used Brad Pitt's face. It does look like JT tho. :o

I love them both, but if I had to pic, I'd choose Babes for sure. Love the simplicity of it and also the illustration style and execution.

Nice concept on the first and I really like the cut and paste approach on the second.
