Ok, I have this in color, but ended up liking the pencil way better. I know it has bold outlines, but I overdid that expecting to loose some outline in the paint process (bold lines do not show in painted version). Did this with pencil, blending stump, and B&W digital painting (touch-up).
If you want to see the colored one, you can go here:
www.jesusweptart.blogspot.com (http://www.jesusweptart.blogspot.com/)
It is a Christian site, but I think you can enjoy the sights and sounds...even if you are pagan. http://www.statueforum.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
Does anybody else have some good pencil work?

Nice artwork.
Don't assume that Pagans aren't christian in the deeper meaning of the word. :D

woah, that's awesome! excellent work!
i definitely like the b/w version better, but i think you should fill in some of the background to make it stand out more.

me too... BW shows the talent more. and love to see the pencil work... Really like even if it is a "religious" drawing... :)
from a "pagan" point of view.

Very well done! Quite impressive.
I too prefer the black and white, it feels more evocative to me. In the color version something seems to be not quite right with the sky, but the skin tones are wonderful.
Welcome to GDF, by the way. :)
edit: the "broken hallelujah" link on your blog is not working, just FYI.

Presactly.
Very nice artwork, by the way, I think you made the right choice in preferring the black and white version, horseman.

Another pagan. :D
P.S. - pagan started off as a derogatory term, coined by (I believe) the Romans in their attempt to denigrate the local culture's spiritual beliefs.

Beautiful work. Even though at first I thought that was a towel on his head, but then I remembered from when I was a christian that jesus didn't swim much, i guess if I could walk on water, why swim?

Ya, I'm new too and missed this first time 'round.
I prefer the pencil drawing too, I really love how he seems so human-like and not god-like how most Christian artists seem to portray him. Fantastic!
