i like atlantis. in black and white. so if you use it in color might think about the contrast works better.

Like purefall, but that little snake head at the top of the water freaks me out. and wonder if you played with the size of the icon to see if it works better small. Whats with the purple? no likey.

the other two just aren't there yet.

I like them... And I like that you're making logos for fictional companies... That's a great way of training and maintaining your skills, when the clients aren't knocking at the door... Thumbs up :).

A little comment on the Turizmo logos. To bring more balance, try to make the left side of the "B"'s stem (in batteries) follow the left side of the "T"'s stem (in turizmo).

In the Revel logo, I would be careful not to break the box with the curved line. I think it creates a disturbings to the eye. Therefore I like the two bottom ones the most, they appear balanced and in control. Although I find a mismatch in the use of colours in the right one, I don't think the logo text should differ from the box by colour.

The Purefall Water logo is nice aswell, but I think it would be difficiult to replicate it in different sizes, due to the thin horizontal "splash" line.

The only comment I have on the Atlantis logo is, that you can do better than that :) (that was a compliment)...

Thankyou both for your comments. I might lop the thin bit off the splash lol. Im not good with colour at the moment lol, I just use boring block colours. :)

What application do you use when designing your logos? If you use Illustrator, then try to experiment with colour swatches. As default there are some pretty useful swatch libaries preinstall in Illustrator, and on the internet there are various places to download more... for instance at www.adobe.com.

To open up a swatch libary, go to Window->Swatch Libaries and then pick one...

I'm colourblind and therefore picking the right colours isn't always my best feature. Therefore sometimes pre-defined swatch libaries can be a great help to me, when I want my design to give the viewer a certain association or feeling. I once had to design a poster, that gave the impression of "the nature" (woods, green plantages etc.) But I had a hard time picking the right colours and make them match each other, so I opened the "forest" swatch libary in Illustrator, and suddenly I had some colours to keep on the track.

Perhaps you already knew this, but if you didn't try checking it out... just an advice. Because colours are an essential part of graphic design, and it has shown that it's not irrelevant which colour you choose. Especially when it comes to logos. Hope you could use this to something...:)

I quite like the purefall one, I'd make the image smaller in comparrison to the text and change the font.

All I can see in the battery logo is the symbol for Schutzstaffel - SS.

Atlantis is probably your most successfull concept.

I like how your juust using negative and positive spacial relationships to represent both water and snow.

I would scrap the rest.

I like your atlantis logo. The first and second one, not so much the third. I'd get rid of the very very thin line that defines the top of your letters though. It's so thin it looks like a mistake, and it'll be invisible when you scale it down anyways. You could bump up the size of "snowboards" as well.

Has anyone mentioned that the SS in batteries looks almost identical to the German SS officer logo? IE: Nazis?

This is most definitely a negative association.

*edit*

Oops yeah...someone already mentioned it. Seriously, I can see this being on a list of "worst logos ever designed" right next to the pediatric clinic with the child giving the adult the 'ol love-job. It doesn't matter who your market is, Nazi's are bad, mmmkay?

Haha - I sound much more aggressive than I really am...just please dear god don't use this logo.
