I'm making some signs for a local roadbike race, to alert passing drivers that there are bicyclists on the road.

Does anyone have a suggestion as far as eye-catching neon cmyk mixtures?

I recommend printing your signs on neon coloured stock.

There are no Neon CMYK mixes to my knowledge. The 'bright' colors (florescent neons) are usually custom spot inks.

I'm with Budafist. If you want them printed, go with spot inks or get them printed on neon paper.

Or go to a sign shop and have them done in cut vinyl. Vinyl sign lettering comes in neon colors. And reflective. And Metallics. And...

yep, there's no cmyk neon or true bright colors.

Cut vinyl is really ideal for bright colors and holds up great in any kind of wether. I'd also ask for cora-plast (it's basically coragated plastic for temporary signs). Then your sign can be put in the ground with H frames or even zip-tied to exhisting road poles, trees, lightpoles, etc.

You "could" try to use colors like 100%C and 100%M for contract, but depending on the printer these could actually be quite dull.

good luck.
