What do you thing about this Community Website

First of all here ist the Link (http://www.hannovernet.org).

It's my selfmade community website of a local City. (Hanover, Germany).
What do you think about the design?
Are the pages loading qickly?
I know I'm using table sorry, when I've got more time I'll use more Div and css...


Another thing is what do you think about the "Logo" on top left.

Yup, it looks like a google rip off to me. Not a good rip off either. What's up with the funny texture on the letters. I can't see what the texture is at that size so all it does is make it hard to read.

I'm also not font of the blue and red website. That particular blue looks like a default blue for websites. Uninspired.

Yes, I oriented myself to google ;-) I love these minimalistic designs.
Can you give me a hint or a few tips what I have to change? Or what I can improve?
