I'm redoing my current website in iweb, and I wanted to upload my resume. I can't figure out how to attach a pdf or allow people to download a pdf. Help......

<a href="resume/resume.pdf">Download Resume</a>

I'm not sure what Iweb is but, that is the markup to use for it. You handle the pdf like any other link.

iweb
I swear to god, if Apple starts saying they reinvented the internet or something I'm going to have some issues...

iWeb is an amazing program for personal websites (blogs, photos, slideshows, family and friends stuff, etc) but you really shouldn't be using it for anything business related.

It's a program made for your average soccer mom to be able to share pictures of her kids with their grandparents etc...

What should I use. I just want my work samples, contact info and my resume on it. I don't know how to use Dreamweaver or Flash.

1.) pay someone
2.) learn dreamweaver and web practice

and/or… learn markup

I found this string because I have the same question. So, no one here knows the actual answer to the question because no one knows this program, Iweb. Personally, I would just not respond to the question if I didn't know the answer. This is what I hate about forums - Smart alec remarks.

You know what I hate about forums? People that don't read the entire thread before posting...

I have never used iWeb but if you know how to upload images and you don't know HTML you could always turn your resume into a .jpg and upload it like an image. I'm not saying that that's the best thing or even the right thing to do but it will work.

If anyone needs the answer someday:

You can link to files on your computer just like you would link to other pages on the internet. (Select the text you want people to click on, go to the Info pallet, select the hyperlink tab, and the rest is self-explanatory.) The PDF will automatically upload to your iWeb files when you hit Publish. If you edit the PDF, be sure to relink, otherwise they're just looking at your old resume.

My second post: Thanks. I found this out on the next Google search hit after this forum. BTW, I did see the HTML solution posted but, needless to say, if I am using IWeb I am not web-savvy enough to use HTML. I did, however, get my website up, start to finish in less than 8 hours, thanks to Apple's IWeb program for web-idiots. Maybe someday I will learn the right way and not just use a template; just not now. This is me:

Hey, Vance, glad you got it sorted out. The download works fine. Pretty awesome work in your portfolio, man. :)

Salsa, thanks for posting the solution. I've been thinking about starting up a .me web site while I learn HTML & CSS. There just aren't enough hours in the day. :(
