Hello from Minnesota!

Hi! Everyone, My name is Dee and I live in Winona, Minnesota. I currently work as a full-time cook. I am also working on a logo for a guy who is trying to start his own company in Rochester. I graduated a year ago with an AAS in web design and development. I have searched all over Wisconsin and Minnesota and due to the lack of my experience, I still have not found work in my field. Besides doing freelance for a company in Wisconsin that didn't turn out so well. I have since put the job searching on hold for a bit until I get another one of my websites completed.
I am also a single mother of 3 teenagers, so free time is usually very limited. I do have my own website, which I am working on updating the first page with a new design on it. I am unsure if I can post the link here, so can someone let me if I can.

Unfortunately, a lot of designers have trouble finding work, it's definitely an overcrowded industry.

You might want to check out the threads posted HERE (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=42), they explain just about everything you need to know about the forum, and the "frequently discussed topics" thread does include a lot of tips on job searching.
