Sorry, but I've only flown through Miami a few times ... and I don't know about that particular school. I'm not sure if we have any other people from Miami on the forum but if we do they can hopefully help you out.

Actually Miami AD school has locations in a number of cities like New York and Chicago to name a couple in the US, it also has in Europe and Brazil.

Well, I guess that just goes to show I don't know anything about them. Once again, check back and see if any other members on the forums chime in.

Never heard of it. Are you saying they are a educational franchise with sites around the world? Weird.

It looks to me like they are one of those vocational schools (similar to University of Phoenix, DeVry, and IIT Tech). I suggest you check out this question Yahoo! Answers (http://ph.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070705221626AAotmi8).

In additon, I would suggest you ask what type of education they are offering. Are you getting a degree or certificate? How many years? How much money?

The Art Direction course sounds interesting...or a waste of money and time. I can't imagine ANY company hiring a person for the top position of Art Director just because they did a course on it. What's a junior Art Director position for those recent graduates?

Heh, Art Director's just one of those terms where what it means depends on which company you work for. Junior Art Director is usually a position associated with large publishing companies. They make the Art Director's tea.

If I'm in doubt, I go to google and type in whatever I'm in doubt about sucking. In this case, you would type in "Miami Ad School sucks" and see what you get. When I did it, though, no bad reviews came up. I didn't dig very deep though.

i worked in the miami market for eons. I like the owners Pippa and i can't remember her husband. I just relooked at the site. it says a CP+B partner. Crispin Porter + bogusky... seems like they bought a partnership in it. good idea for them. if you are talented you probably get fed right into their offices. which i hear are moving to Colorado if they already haven't...look them up... great shop...

I remember going to events they put on. Some big names would come down for talks. They partnered with the AIGA on many events. Old bosses would work thre as adjuncts for a bit. Students ran the gamut like any other school. great location right off washington and 5th... in the heart of S. beach.. what specifics do you want to know..

Thank you for your comment, I have heard very good things about miami ad school from people in art direction and photography, and copywriting too, but not for graphic design, i was wondering if this was a good choise for graphic design or not, and anything else you might know about them. by the way, i read your intro, i've been here for 2 years i cant remember the last time i say a caw, you sure seem to live in a very nice place!
